At the beginning of the new year, on the afternoon of January 2, 2024, Jin Xingming, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and his delegation visited and conducted research at the Shensi Building, the headquarters of Shanggong Shenbei Group, located at 263 Shitai Road in Shanghai. Accompanied by Zhang Min, Jin Xingming and his delegation visited the product exhibition hall of the group. Zhang Min emphasized the main characteristic and innovative products of China's century old brands, including Butterfly brand household sewing and embroidery integrated machine, Baifu brand fully automatic bag sticking machine, Dukepu brand DELTA series medium thick material machine and automatic bag opening machine, KSL brand robot 3D sewing workstation, and Sonotron GmbH's ultrasonic welding machine acquired in 2023.

Jin Xingming explained the main purpose of the visit by members of the leadership team of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government to key enterprises in Shanghai, to understand the development situation, difficulties, and demands of the enterprises. After listening to Zhang Min's report on the development process, current business situation, development strategy, industrial layout, and key development areas of Shanggong Shenbei Group, he expressed appreciation for the mixed ownership reform of Shanggong Shenbei Group and the achievements made in recent years, and hoped that the company would continue to innovate and increase research and development of sewing equipment related to composite material applications, especially the first set of neck technology research and manufacturing.
